We wanted to make the children happy who could not enjoy the New Year holidays due to a serious illnesses. They planned to organise a master class, a holiday for them. Unfortunately, the hospital introduced quarantine measures due to the spread of SARS and influenza, so we had to postpone the events. But we could not leave the little patients without presents and came to the Department of Paediatric Oncology and Oncohaematology with gifts for our little friends and their mothers. Many thanks to the hospital management who met us halfway and allowed us to distribute the gifts.
"The children are going through a difficult time, they are undergoing a very difficult treatment, at such a moment it is especially important to support them, it is very important to keep faith in a miracle. It is important to find reasons for joy and smiles and to think of the good. We wanted to give at least a little joy and support to the children on the eve of the new year. For 2023, I wish our little friends only good health, overcoming all adversities, fulfilment of their wishes and that they never stop believing in the good," Dina Makarenko, Director of the Sun of Hope Public Foundation, congratulated the patients.
The gifts for the children were bought as part of the Smile to the Sun project, which was launched to improve the quality of life of seriously ill children. Thank you to everyone who supports our charities. With your help, we give children faith in healing and a better future!
May your homes always be filled with peace, prosperity, good health and the warmth of your family and friends. May this joyful festival fill your hearts with kindness, compassion and gratitude.
