After much consideration, Aslan's parents made the difficult decision to change clinics. Unfortunately, Aslan's cancer did not improve, and the entire team of treating doctors at the clinic in Turkey left without explanation. Additionally, the situation regarding the donor has not changed. While a donor was initially found, all information about him vanished along with the medical team.
Due to these circumstances, Aslan's parents decided to urgently transfer him to the Ichilov Clinic in Israel. They are currently obtaining visas. Tomorrow, Aslan is scheduled to receive a platelet transfusion, and they hope to leave for Israel on Saturday.
Friends, we ask for your prayers and support for Aslan and his family during this tough time.
Aslan is showing some improvement, but it is still unclear whether he has achieved remission. His parents are understandably confused about the situation. His blood counts have just begun to stabilise following the targeted chemotherapy he underwent. Fortunately, his mood is relatively good, and he has started eating by himself. He has transitioned from being fed through a spout to regular formula feeding. Aslan enjoys Turkish pide (a flatbread with minced meat) and can eat it every day, along with unsweetened biscuits and ayran. All his food needs to be lactose-free and low in sugar.
His treatment must continue without interruption; cancer does not wait, even for the most vulnerable babies. Soon, Aslan will need to undergo a bone marrow analysis, which will take place in Israel, as he continues to fight this battle.
"Please help our son recover! He is our everything, our world. We cannot interrupt his treatment, as the cancer cells may grow even more, and we could lose our baby forever. It’s unbearably painful to even think about it. Please help us save our Aslan! We are doing everything we can but simply cannot cope alone." – Aslan's mom.
Please help save little Aslan from cancer!
May your homes always be filled with peace, prosperity, good health and the warmth of your family and friends. May this joyful festival fill your hearts with kindness, compassion and gratitude.
