Today, both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are celebrating wonderful holidays.
The 1st of May is a significant day for Kazakhstanis, as it marks the Day of National Unity, a holiday that promotes friendship and harmony among all the people of Kazakhstan while celebrating patriotism and loyalty towards their country. In the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, public festivities will be held at the Baiterek monument, alongside the launch of fountains. It's a day of celebration that unites the country and brings a beautiful spring mood with lots of smiles.
May 1 marks Labour Day in Kyrgyzstan. Although the holiday is not as widely celebrated now, the festive spirit is still evident as people spend time with their families in the countryside, and meet up with their loved ones.
Over time, these holidays have evolved from the historic Labour Day that was always celebrated on this day. The Kazakh and Kyrgyz people have shown the strength of unity and peaceful development. It is exemplified by Unity Day and Labour Day, which are meant to bring everyone together.
Spring is a sight to behold in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, with an abundance of colours, fragrances, and flowers. We wish you to spend these holidays in happiness, together with your relatives and friends. Happy holidays to you all!
