All the way, while Jamilya was being taken to another hospital, her tears were flowing. She did not scream, she did not sob, she had learnt to cry silently during her illness. The girl is being devoured by liver cancer. "Mummy, I'm afraid to go to sleep and not wake up. I am in so much pain, it seems the cancer has swallowed my whole body," little Jamilya whispers. At 10 years old, the girl weighs only 28kg. The cancer has ravaged the little girl's body. Doctors say in one voice that such a resistant hepatoblastoma has never been seen in childhood. It's a tough case. Immunotherapy is her last chance for salvation. A chance that costs a lot of money. Only the help of caring people can pull Jamilya out of the clutches of a terrible disease. Help!
Khasenova Jamilya, 10 years old.
Diagnosis: liver cancer, hepatoblastoma, relapse.
Fundraising: for treatment at ACIBADEM Clinic, Istanbul, Turkey.
The fundraising amount: $10,910.
Jamilya is still alive thanks to the efforts of the doctors and the timely help she received in Turkey. She underwent a complicated surgery (75% of her liver was removed) and long chemotherapy. The long-awaited remission was too short. She relapsed. Metastases had invaded important organs. The last hope for salvation remained - immunotherapy. But even that is in danger of being cancelled if we can't pay the clinic bill soon.
Jamilya feels very alone. Everyone seems to have forgotten about her. Somewhere out there is life, happiness, fun. But her days consist of pain and tears. She sees her mum trying to support her, but at night, she cries and writes letters begging for help. Jamilya sees her mum being told to pay the clinic bill, and she lacks the money. It's hard to hold on and believe in such conditions. We ask you kindly to please give Jamilya hope that she is not alone and will be able to cope.
Support Jamilya. She desperately needs your help!
May your homes always be filled with peace, prosperity, good health and the warmth of your family and friends. May this joyful festival fill your hearts with kindness, compassion and gratitude.
