Daniel is at risk of being denied treatment soon! Funds are running out...

21.01.2025 12:42

We have raised 21% of the required amount for Daniel's treatment, in total $2,500 out of the needed $12,000. Unfortunately, we are running out of time, and fundraising is progressing too slowly. All the funds from his mother and grandmother have already been spent on the operation and the initial stages of treatment. The doctors require 27 weeks to save the baby! They will not provide treatment for free, and they refuse to operate on him in his home country.

Any donation you can make will make a difference! Help us give this baby a chance at life!

Mum's news: "Daniel has finished his anti-edema medication. The radiation therapy caused swelling in his internal organs. It's still challenging to assess the effectiveness of the medication; the results will be revealed by an MRI, which Daniel will undergo every three months at most.

Daniel's treatment plan has changed. He previously came in for chemotherapy once a week, but now the schedule has been adjusted. He still receives chemotherapy once a week, but during the following week, he only comes in for control and check-ups. The most challenging part for my son is when the doctor inserts a needle into the port and changes the bandage. This situation often results in tantrums, making it very challenging to manage when you have to hold a screaming child.

Daniel's lab results have deteriorated again. He has been prescribed leucocytes and antibiotics due to an increase in the SRB levels, indicating inflammatory processes in his body. Additionally, the baby is required to take neuroleptics because vincristine affects the nerve endings, causing Daniel to experience pain in his limbs. Despite being on this medication, he continues to suffer from persistent soreness in his legs and arms, making it difficult for him to walk for extended periods. While he can still move from room to room, longer walks have become a challenge, and he even refuses to go outside. After one such walk, Daniel spent two consecutive days lying down due to severe pain in his left leg, where a tumour was previously removed from the sciatic nerve."

Dear friends,

Please do not leave Dinael to face his battle with cancer alone! This brave boy is fighting for his life with all his strength. Unfortunately, he has no financial support from his family, except for his mother and grandmother. While they care for him deeply and love him immensely, they are unable to afford the treatment he desperately needs for his right to live.

On May 15, Elina underwent a bone marrow transplant.

Unfortunately, not everything went as planned, but there is still hope. The cord blood that the doctors and Elina had been waiting for to help defeat her cancer turned out to be unsuitable for the transplant. Her parents were in despair and felt lost about what to do next.

Sometimes, real miracles happen in our work.

This message is about human involvement, care, gratitude, and appreciation. In April, we received a transfer for three of our wards at once: 16,500 roubles each. Behind this generous support is a man named Emil. We don't know much about him, but we do know one thing: he has a big heart.
