Kamil is 15 years old, and last year he finished 9th grade and made big plans for his life. He wanted to go to 10th grade to continue his studies and choose a profession. But a cruel disease threw a spanner in the works.
The first symptoms appeared in early 2022, he often felt weak, and his head hurt. The parents thought their son was growing up, and his body was changing. Camille got worse and worse. In the summer appeared shortness of breath, dizziness and tinnitus. The family then turned to the district hospital for help. The young man was admitted to the hospital for treatment, but the 10-day therapy did not help. He was referred to the children's cancer hospital. There they found out the cause of his poor health - acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and blood cancer.
Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia is the most common form of leukaemia in children and adolescents and accounts for 75-80% of all neoplastic diseases of the hematopoietic system in children. Treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia is a lengthy and complex process that requires much effort from physicians and the patient's family. Unfortunately, parents aren't always able to cover the costs of additional examinations.
Thanks to all our patrons and friends who support the reserve fund of the "For Life" project. You're saving children's lives! We are so grateful!
